Friendsgiving Live® is the world's largest Friendsgiving festival for women, creating space for resilience, forgiveness, strength, and celebration among women from all walks of life.
Founded in 2017, Friendsgiving Live® was built on the principles of community, fellowship, and generosity. What began as a gathering of just 24 women has grown into a global movement rooted in connection, storytelling, celebration, and giving.
Our mission is to bring women together through meaningful experiences that foster authentic relationships, encourage personal and professional growth, and inspire collective impact.
Since 2022, a portion of every sponsorship investment has been directed toward nonprofit organizations serving Southwest Washington. In its inaugural year of charitable giving, Friendsgiving Live® generated more than $5,000 for Restored and Revived, the founder's nonprofit partner of choice that year. Since then we’ve grown our partnership into other local non-profit organizations.
Today, Friendsgiving Live® continues to expand its philanthropic reach by investing in local nonprofits while laying the foundation for future licensed chapters around the world. Each year, Founder Kareen Mills empowers her sponsors to vote the non-profit beneficiary.
More than an annual festival, Friendsgiving Live® is building a global community centered on connection, generosity, and impact because we believe that when women rise together, entire communities benefit.

One of Kareen's greatest joys is creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
Perhaps that's because it's the space she never had the opportunity to hold for her own mother when she was just six years old. Today, Friendsgiving Live® is, in many ways, a tribute to her mother, Rose, who is now enjoying her second chapter of life traveling the world to visit her children.
In 2017, many of the women in Kareen's sphere, including Kareen herself, were navigating difficult seasons. She was still rebuilding from the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, proof that some seasons of healing take longer than expected.
That December, with the help of her dear friend Sunny Golden, Kareen invited 24 women to gather in a private room at Warehouse '23 in Vancouver, Washington. Every seat was filled.
The following year, the women asked if Friendsgiving was coming back.
Kareen simply replied, "What if everyone brought one more woman?"
The room doubled to 50, and an annual tradition was born.
By 2019, Friendsgiving welcomed 125 women, becoming the largest Friendsgiving gathering for women at the time.
Like so many community events, Friendsgiving paused during the pandemic. In 2022, with equal parts hesitation and courage, Kareen brought it back.
More than 110 women attended. Sponsorships were introduced for the first time, a VIP experience launched in partnership with Lyann Nguyen (Credit Ninja), and together the community raised more than $5,000 for Restored and Revived, marking the beginning of Friendsgiving Live®'s philanthropic mission.
Today, Friendsgiving Live® has grown into the world's largest Friendsgiving festival for women. What began with 24 women around a table is becoming a global movement centered on connection, generosity, and impact.
This year, Friendsgiving Live® will welcome up to 200 attendees, along with 20 table sponsors and three premier event sponsors. A significant portion of every sponsorship investment supports a local nonprofit selected by Kareen from the four most recent recipients of 100 Women Who Care Southwest Washington, where she proudly serves as a pledging member.

Hi, I'm Kareen.
Made in the Philippines. Born and raised.
At 20 years old, I immigrated to the United States with my family. Within four months, I went from learning English to learning what it meant to start over. Like millions of others, I was also deeply impacted by the 2008 financial crisis. Those experiences shaped not only my career, but how I view resilience, generosity, and community.
For almost three decades, I've worked in the financial industry, from Bank Teller to Vice President of Business Banking, as well as in insurance and other regulated financial professions.
Along the way, I discovered that wealth isn't simply about how much money we make. It's about the decisions we make, the relationships we build, and the legacy we leave behind.
Everything I do is a tribute to my mother, Rose.
Growing up, I witnessed domestic violence at a young age and often wished someone had created a safe space for women like my mother. Friendsgiving Live® became my way of creating that space, one where women feel welcomed, valued, celebrated, and reminded that they never have to walk alone.
What began with 24 women gathered around a table has grown into the world's largest Friendsgiving festival for women, with a vision of expanding through licensed chapters around the world. At its heart,
Friendsgiving Live® exists to bring women together through connection, generosity, and impact while helping direct meaningful support to nonprofits and the communities they serve.
